There are several resources available to Southwest Colorado residents affected by our recent flooding, including temporary housing and clean up assistance. Crisis Support + Financial Assistance for Individuals & Families

ONE-TIME FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

Team Up coordinates and fiscally sponsors multiple emergency financial assistance resources for individuals and families across Southwest Colorado experiencing crisis. Situations that qualify for the one-time financial assistance payments include security deposits, past due rent/mortgages/utility bills, and car repairs. Please work with the appropriate agency based on your county of residence.

Residents of Montezuma County and Dolores County can apply through The Montelores Emergency Assistance Coalition (MEAC), administered by The Piñon Project.

Residents of La Plata County and San Juan County (CO) can apply through the Community Emergency Assistance Coalition (CEAC), administered by SW Housing Solutions.

Residents of Archuleta County can apply through Pagosa Outreach Connection.

General Resources for Colorado Residents

211 Colorado streamlines services and provides one central location where people can get connected to the resources they need. With a database that is updated daily, 211 Colorado can connect you to critical resources simply by dialing a three-digit number. 211 can connect you to shelter availability, childcare or eldercare, rent payment assistance, immigrant resources, mental health and substance abuse help, and more.

The 211 Community Liaison serves as a connector between the 211 information and referral service and the communities of Southwest Colorado. The purpose of this role is to build strong relationships with organizations, service providers, and residents to support and promote the use of 211, increase awareness of available resources, support emergency and disaster response efforts, and assist with basic resource navigation. This position will be based in Montezuma County but serve 5 counties across the Southwest Region. We are looking for someone who is self-reliant, a strong relationship builder, bilingual, and has familiarity with community resources, organizations, and entities across the Southwest Region. Each year, the City of Durango provides grants through their Community Support Fund to local Health and Human Services basic-needs nonprofit organizations. Team Up is proud to manage and administer these funds.
