AmeriCorps members receive a living stipend paid twice monthly throughout their service, with an additional educational award paid out at the end of a successfully-completed service term to be used at any Title IV institution.

As a member of our core or summer cohorts, members serve at one of our regional nonprofits, schools, and government agencies. Members are also offered many opportunities to gain experience serving with one of our Team Up Action Teams. Current available positions are posted below.

Looking to fulfill an internship requirement? Our internship programs start at 300 hours, and can often align with your internship requirements while earning a living stipend and an education award for your service! Our internships also serve regional nonprofits, schools, and government agencies.

The Youth Mental Health Corps (YMHC) members provide programming aimed at supporting youth mental health, as well as completing a Behavioral Health Assistant I micro-credential through Pueblo Community College. Current available positions are posted below.

Team Up has formed a partnership with the Farmer-in-Training (FIT) program at Fort Lewis College to address food security by connecting locally-grown food with our regional food system.
Applications for this program will first be fed through Fort Lewis College and the Farmer-in-Training program.

Education Facilitator

The SOIL Lab Education Facilitator will support outdoor environmental education programming at the SOIL Outdoor Learning Lab, a community garden, 42-ft Grow Dome greenhouse, and aquaponics facility in Durango, CO. Responsibilities include leading PreK–college field trips, supporting community education events and off-site outreach, assisting with garden maintenance, and contributing to the design and development of The SOIL Hub, a new outdoor gathering and learning space. The member will also help implement new middle and high school curricula focused on science, sustainability, and social-emotional well-being. This is a hands-on, creative role with room to shape programming as the site grows.

This is a 1200-hour national and community service position requiring approximately 35 hours/week. The position begins September 1, 2026 and ends May 31, 2027.* Flexible hours are required, including occasional evening and weekend commitments.

A living allowance of approx. $1,115.63/per pay period (twice per month). Taxes are deducted and the living allowance is distributed by direct deposit to the member’s bank account.

Clean Transportation Program Coordinator

Four Corners Office for Resource Efficiency (4CORE) is a regional nonprofit advancing energy affordability and community resilience across Southwest Colorado. As the Clean Transportation Program Coordinator, you'll support clean transportation outreach and engagement with a focus on rural and Tribal communities across La Plata, Montezuma, and surrounding counties. Day-to-day, you'll assist with community events, EV education, surveys, listening sessions, partner outreach, and transportation needs assessments. You'll develop and adapt outreach materials, connect residents with clean transportation resources, and help document community input around mobility barriers and priorities. You'll also support communications like newsletters and social media, and track data and program outcomes. You'll serve as part of a regional AmeriCorps cohort, attending joint trainings, connection days, and Days of Service alongside members from across Southwest Colorado.

Day-to-day, you'll help residents navigate programs like HEAR, Energy Smart Colorado, and Project SunShare — connecting them with rebates, energy advising, contractor resources, and application support. You'll assist with community events, tabling, and partner meetings, and develop educational materials tailored to rural audiences. You'll also support communications and track outreach, referrals, and follow-up needs. You'll serve as part of a regional AmeriCorps cohort, attending joint trainings, connection days, and Days of Service alongside members from across Southwest Colorado.

Garden Educator

Garden Educators serve at Montezuma School to Farm Project (MSTFP) supporting food literacy education for elementary students in the Cortez and Mancos school districts. Members maintain school gardens, harvest and distribute produce, and lead programming focused on nutrition, food production, and resource conservation. Duties shift seasonally between hands-on garden work and teaching or program planning. Members co-teach garden curriculum aligned to Colorado and Next Generation Science Standards, coordinate with volunteers and community partners, and help plan community outreach events. Members also track AmeriCorps data and attend Team Up trainings and Days of Service. This role requires initiative, adaptability, and cultural awareness.

Youth Mental Health Corps Member
-
Four Corners Rainbow Youth Center (4CRYC) seeks 1-2 passionate AmeriCorps members for the Youth Mental Health Corps. Members must be enrolled in or entering graduate-level studies in Social Work or Counseling (MSW or LPC candidates). Members will support Rainbow Youth Center attendees through individual therapy, youth programming (clubs, field trips, events), case management, and crisis advocacy. YMHC duties include facilitating Crime Victim Services Programs, serving on a multidisciplinary crisis team, and completing graduate-level internship requirements. Additional responsibilities include data tracking, mandatory reporting compliance, trauma-informed practice, and participation in Team Up regional trainings and Days of Service. Ideal candidates are self-motivated, culturally aware, compassionate, and committed to serving the LGBTQ+ youth community.

This is a 900-hour national and community service position requiring approximately 20 hours/week. 20% of total hours, or approx. 15 hours/month (subject to change based on host site needs and member coursework) can be spent in documented graduate program coursework approved for the Youth Mental Health Corps. The position begins September 9, 2026 and ends August 31, 2027. Flexible hours are required, including occasional evening and weekend commitments. Service on the following dates is required:
